The IELTS, an English-language proficiency test, is jointly own by IDP: IELTS Australia, British Council and Cambridge Assessment English. The IELTS test can be taken throughout the year on the test dates announced.

Registering for the IELTS® Test
IELTS® Test Fee: INR 17,000

Find your nearest IELTS center, and check the test dates to find options that suit you. Note the deadline for registering for each test date.
Print the IELTS application form, or collect a copy from the test center. Complete the form and sign it.
In some centers, candidates may be able to register for the test online. Please refer to the test center's website for further information.
Take a photocopy of your current passport -- this must be valid and not expired.
Take your application to your IELTS test center with the fees. If you send your application by mail, please talk to your center about the method of payment.
Once you have registered, the test center will confirm your IELTS test date, time and venue. The speaking test can be up to 7 days before, or after the main test date.
If you cancel your test, or request a transfer five weeks or more before the test date, the test center will charge an administration fee depending on the time of your cancellation.
